30 Days of Prayer: Intro and Day 1

INTRODUCTION:

Thank you for joining us in covering the WOTH Furlough Retreat in prayer for 30 days.  Prayer is the foundation and the reason we confidently believe that we can empower missionary women who attend a retreat that is as short as four days.  Praying Scripture is an intense endeavor; we will be asking that His truth would be lived in and through each life, so as to glorify and proclaim Him to those around us. During the next 30 days we will lift each attendee, volunteer, and country up by name, along with requests that are common to missionary women.

Let the adventure begin!

Praying with you,

Day ONE – Friday, June 8

Today, please pray for…

Retreat Attendees: Kimber, Brenda, Carol Beth and Jane Ann

Country: Zambia

We ask God to fill us (and each attendee) with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  We pray this in order that we may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Hm in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, joyfully giving thanks to the Father (Colossians 1:9-11,The Message).

Several of the women at the Retreat will be in various stages of transition.  They are seeking God's will for direction, insight and decisions. The journey can be thrilling, difficult, emotional and unexpected.  We ask for His power to flow purely to allow them endurance, patience, all with an attitude of thanksgiving, even when things don't make sense. In Jesus' name, Amen.
