Retreat
Attendees: Colene,
Geri, Jan and Sharon
Country: Botswana
We pray that He may strengthen each
of us (and the missionaries) with power through His Spirit in our inner
being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. May we have the
power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Now
to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we just asked or imagined,
according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory! (Ephesians 3:16-20)
Our prayer, Lord, is that each of these women and their families,
whether they are wrapping up their time stateside before returning to their
fields or are freshly arriving to the US, will have the strength and
intentionality to stay healthy and experience meaningful closure or
reconnecting on a heart level with friends and family.
We ask, Father, that they give each other grace and time to share their grief, anger, tears and even resentment as they walk through this process. Our desire is for them to come full circle where they are open to make new friends in whatever new circumstance they find themselves in. May they reconnect with a friend, or make a new one while at the Retreat or during their time in the US on home assignment. In Jesus' name, Amen.
