But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly,
that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were
concerned before, but you
lacked opportunity (Philippians 4:10).
As
missionaries answering God's call on their life...may they learn to be content
whatever the circumstances. They know what it is to be in need (i.e.
under-supported), and they know what it is to have plenty. May they learn
the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or
hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
Our desire
is that they experience the truth of being able to do everything through Him
who gives them strength. We pray that people who know them would renew their
concern for these women, and take the opportunity to show it. The
missionaries aren't looking so much for a gift (although many of them need
support), but for what may be credited to your account. Gifts to
them are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
We are assured that our God will meet all their needs, according to His
glorious riches in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.
